The San Diego Brewers Guild is the largest county guild in America, with over 120 breweries. It’s also one of the most decorated, with countless GABF winning breweries. As the SDBG began to reach epic new heights, they needed to evolve their brand. Mother Sponge worked closely with the board of directors to develop a fresh brand identity, printed map, and website for both the Guild itself as well as San Diego Beer Week. The result was a clean and contemporary new identity system supported by a bevy of regional iconography, celebrating what makes San Diego the perfect place to visit and experience craft beer. The tagline, “Capital of Craft” reflects the viewpoint of SD as craft beer mecca, sparked in no small way by the famously innovative and celebrated award winning breweries that dot the county. The SDBG Printed Map supports explosive growth in craft beer tourism, and is distributed to San Diego airport, as well as hotels, restaurants, bars, and of course breweries. As the SDBG amplifies #sdbeer, Mother Sponge continues to provide brand and design guidance while Paradeigm Films has stepped up to produce beautiful film & photography to deck out a sleek digital platform at SDbeer.com powered by PageBuilder™.
