Unsung Brewing Co founder Mike Crea came to us with an irresistibly exciting vision for a comic book inspired brewery. The Mother Sponge strategy workshop set the stage for a show-stopping brand infused with comic book lore. When Mike found a location half a mile from Disneyland (and directly across the street from the Anaheim Packing House), we knew his brand was in for a bold opening act. Mother Sponge brought in a dream team of collaborators, including the prolific SoCal illustration luminary Dane Danner, to unleash heroic brand expression from beer can to tasting room. The collaboration continues, with MoSpo helping Unsung to develop an ever-expanding universe of heroes, villains, and mythic beer storytelling through the 16oz canvas!
